Funding for New Growing Project

Two months ago People and Gardens were fortunate enough to receive some funding from The Big Lottery for our “New Growing Project”. The grant of £9,730 will go towards paying for an experienced horticultural worker to work with us for one year, assisting in our new growing programme. Sowing the first seeds of the year

Our seeds trays and pots have been cleaned and refilled with fresh compost and now we’re busy sowing seeds.   So far we’ve planted carrots, chillies, radishes, mizuna, baby leaf lettuce, endives and spring onions.
