Summer is nearly over and the rain has finally settled in – but we don’t mind as everything is growing nicely. The nursery has really been coming along with a rainbow range of vegetables coming to your veg boxes soon. We’ve had a whole selection of peppers – big and small – plus a good few tomatoes too.

There have been some giant pumpkins popping up. Just to give you an idea of just how big this one is – the shoe next to it is men’s size 11!

We’ve had some lovely aubergines on the go – plus some cucamelons. If you haven’t heard of cucamelons before, they look like mini watermelons but taste like cucumber and make a great addition to any salad!

We’ve also got a brand new mushroom polytunnel with a special dark room, all thanks to the lovely folk at D&S Builders. Here are the builders with Dave and the rest of the team.

…and James getting the other polytunnel ready for its first plants.
