On the evening of Friday 2nd September, we will be taking over Knightor Winery and Restaurant for a unique feast of our homegrown food.

The menu will include our produce, freshly picked that morning. Some of our guys and Ken will be front of house serving and chatting, while Bill and the other guys will be in the kitchen getting everything prepared. This of course with lots of help from Knightor staff!

The evening kicks off at 6.30pm when you can met the “people who make it happen” at the bar, and enjoy a Knightor Vermouth and cucumber spritzer with raw vegetable crudités and fresh herb dips.

Our own Bill Simpson and Jah Hemming, Knightor’s head chef, have devised a menu based on what we will have available at the time:

Oyster mushrooms, spring onion, spelt toast, pea shoot salad

*Fowey Vintage Sparkling Cider, Cornwall OR Andre Scherer Gewürztraminer, Alsace, France, 2012

Heirloom tomato salad, basil, homemade goat’s curd, baby leaves

*Knightor Carpe Diem Rosé, Cornwall, 2014

Butter roast Crealy chicken, lemongrass, thyme, heritage rainbow carrots, kale crisps

*Knightor Trevannion, Cornwall, 2014

Raspberry cranachan, Cornish moonshine, clotted cream shortbread

*Knightor Mena Hweg, Cornwall, 2013

Tickets are £30 per person (book online) for the five course feast and welcome drink. All proceeds from the event will go to People and Gardens.
